Lou Groza’s Sports Uniform Retired by Cleveland Browns

Lou Groza was born to Hungarian immigrants in Ohio, and became a left tackle/place kicker for the Cleveland Browns in 1949. Known as "The Toe", his No. 76 sports uniform was retired by that team after he became a 6-time All-Pro player and played in 13 championship games for Cleveland. He was named an All-NFL tackle six times and NFL Player of the Year in 1954.
He also owns the Browns team record for the most seasons played and the most career points. In addition, he holds the record for 107 consecutive games in which he scored a point. He has the most career extra points and the most field goals in team history as well. Groza was an example on and off the field, where he lived by the personal creed "Always support a good cause in any way you can." The Brown's current training camp is now located in his home town of Martins Ferry on Lou Groza Blvd.
